Welcome to The London Wellbeing Clinic Psychotherapy Branch

We offer Psychotherapy both in person in our South West London Office SW6, or online via a digital platform with our experienced and accredited Psychotherapists. Our Philosophy is based around Wellbeing. We believe that everyone should be able to make changes in their lives to improve their overall Wellbeing, whether that is for specific disorders, or for clients who experience an unspecific sense of anxiety/low mood and want to make changes. We’re here to help you.

Our aim is to provide a safe, collaborative and empathic space to explore and empower, as well as learn techniques that can help you break out of unhelpful patterns, or achieve your goals and to overall improve your quality of life.

About Us:

We have worked in mental health settings for many years and have specifically trained in providing Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy and other variants recognised as being effective in treatment mental health difficulties. We are accredited by the British Association of Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) which requires us to work in accordance with the BABCP ethical guidelines and we attend regular training to ensure we are up-to-date with the latest interventions. Each therapist has developed specialist areas. We are aware that choosing a therapist can be a very difficult and important decision; so a brief overview of our approach may help you. We aim to be respectful, genuine, non-judgemental and supportive at all times. It is important to us that you feel safe and comfortable; so confidentiality is always guaranteed. Whilst in therapy we will work with you to ensure that you have a customised, evidence-based treatment plan that you have agreed to. This helps to ensure that the treatment you receive will be of a standard dictated nationally by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence.

We can both be found on the BABCP website which you can be directed to from here.

Testimonials

“When I started my sessions with Natalie I was in a very unhappy place.  It is amazing to think how monumental the change has been in my life and my mindset since then, particularly when I consider that this change happened over less than 2 months of sessions.  I am so grateful that it was Natalie who helped me on this journey.  She is incredibly professional and extremely good at what she does, but what I valued most was that I always felt like I was talking to a friend.  What was also evident during our conversations is that Natalie is very experienced and she draws on that experience in a way that allows you to feel confident that you are in skilled and capable hands. The progress that we made was so much bigger and so much more rewarding than I expected and I will always be grateful to Natalie for her amazing work.  I would not hesitate to recommend her and I will truly miss our sessions, which are, incredibly, no longer needed”.

"Thank you so much for helping me, I was in a very dark place when I came to see you and now I feel much better about my life and myself as a person. You've taught me some amazing techniques to help me deal with situations, I've been putting them to use and they have made all the difference…"

"James helped me work through feelings of loss associated with my fiancé leaving me and other issues regarding low self-esteem. For years I have been mired in the memory of our love for each other and have found it impossible to move on and form loving relationships with other women. My work with James has changed all this and I was able to reframe my relationship with my ex-fiancé in a more healthy way, and since then, I have been able to love and accept love into my life, with the result that I have just started a new relationship with a wonderful new girlfriend and we are more in love with each other than either of us could have imagined. None of this would have been possible without the work James and I did together…"

“I found the approach we took extremely helpful in tackling my anxiety. The sessions were supportive, patient and flexible and gave me a focus in-between to practise what we discussed. A few months after finishing them, my anxiety is back ‘under control’, I’m able to manage and understand it better, and use the techniques I learnt myself. A big thank you for the help.”

"The sessions I had have had a huge impact on many areas of my life and relationships. I was hoping to work on strategies in quite a specific area of my behaviour and thinking, but I quickly realised that I needed to bethinking more widely about how other things impacted me. This was thanks to my therapist listening closely, and picking up on the subtle things that came up and that I didn’t see myself. I’d always thought I had a really good understanding of myself, but it was the things I hadn’t noticed that were holding me back. He challenged me where necessary, and gave me space to explore and spend time on what came up that I hadn’t gotten to the bottom of before. The change has been hard work, gradual, and strange at times, but has been worth it as it seems much more sustainable than things I’ve tired in the past, because it makes sense…"

"I am extremely grateful I met you. Your thoughtful suggestions equipped me with methods to manage my anxiety and fear without medication..."

"Natalie has made such a difference in my life. She is a magical person - counsellor - support - and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone. I had never done online counselling before, but you soon get accustomed plus it's incredibly flexible and saves so much time, avoiding need to travel to a session etc. I sought Natalie's help around a number of things, predominantly questions re. having children/not having children - both for psychological and physical health reasons. I must admit that on one level I wasn't sure if anyone could really help me that much with navigating these kinds of questionsI was very happy to be proved wrong. Natalie was a super positive, professional and wonderful supporter, adviser, sounding board. In all I think we may only have had 5 or 6 sessions - but I think their effect will be with me for a very long time, perhaps for life. I learnt a great deal about myself, even after years of various other therapies. I would like to bottle Natalie McCandless - I think I'd make a lot of money. So thank you Natalie - for helping me, for being you and for what you do - from the bottom of my heart."
